Our privacy policy

The terms of this Privacy Policy are based on the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and apply to the VBH Estonia OÜ online store at www.vbh24.ee and other websites managed by VBH, including www.vbh.ee, webnews.vbh.ee, and shop.vbh.ee.

The principles of this Privacy Policy govern the collection, use, disclosure, transfer, and storage of customers' personal data (hereinafter collectively referred to as “processing”). Personal data is processed only in accordance with the requirements established by applicable legislation and with all necessary precautions taken to protect personal data.

By using the website, the customer confirms their acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

VBH collects and processes only the personal data necessary for serving customers in its showroom and online store, as well as for the purposes of VBH’s contractual loyalty program.

Terminology and definitions

 

  • Data Subject – an identified or identifiable natural person whose data is processed by or under the direction of the controller.

  • Third Party – a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or body other than the data subject, the controller, the processor, and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorized to process personal data.

What Personal Data Is Processed

  • First and last name
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Delivery address for goods
  • Bank account number
  • IP address (for electronic channels)
  • Information regarding the customer’s purchases and contracts concluded with the customer

Depending on the circumstances and necessity, VBH may process only part of the personal data listed above.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data

  • Personal data is used for managing customer orders and delivering goods.
  • Purchase history data (purchase date, products, quantity, customer contact details) is used to compile an overview of purchased goods and services and to analyze customer preferences.
  • Personal data such as email address, telephone number, and customer name is processed to resolve issues related to the provision of goods and services (customer support).
  • The online store user's IP address and other network identifiers are processed for providing the online store as an information society service and for generating website usage statistics.

Security and access to data

Personal data is stored on VBH servers located within the territory of a Member State of the European Union or a country belonging to the European Economic Area.

Access to the personal data database is restricted to VBH employees who have received the necessary training for using the database and who have been granted the appropriate access rights.

Data Retention

  • Anonymous technical data collected through websites and service environments is retained indefinitely.
  • Personal data related to identified inquiries and/or transactions is retained for no less than seven (7) years from the last transaction with the service provider, in accordance with the obligation under accounting legislation to maintain evidence of transactions.

Direct Marketing Communications

Email addresses and postal addresses are used for sending direct marketing communications only if the customer has provided the relevant consent.

Disclosure of Data to Third Parties

VBH does not disclose personal data to third parties unless there is a direct legal obligation to do so (for example, at the request of a court or pre-trial investigation authority) or a justified necessity.

Individual Rights Regarding Personal Data

  • You have the right to access the personal data we collect about you.
  • You have the right to request the correction or updating of inaccurate data.
  • You have the right to opt out of direct marketing communications.
  • You may request the cessation of processing and deletion of your personal data; however, this may limit the provision of certain services or personalized content.
  • VBH may refuse a request to update inaccurate data if the request is unfounded or if legal grounds exist for refusing the request.
  • To exercise the rights listed above, a written request signed by hand or digitally signed must be submitted.
  • To protect your rights, you may contact the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or a court.

Deletion of Personal Data

Requests for deletion will be answered no later than one month after receipt, and the data deletion period will be specified in the response.
